Japan established a new government and military around 1860, which continues to this day.
During this period, it fought the Greater East Asia War from December 1941 to August 1945.
Looking back at history, Britain fought the Opium Wars with the Qing Dynasty and occupied Hong Kong.
Then Britain, France, Germany, and Russia divided up China and made it into colonies.
And America actually wanted a colony in China.
However, America was fighting the Civil War at the time and was not in a position to send miritary to China.
So America was late in dividing up China.
Since USA couldn't colonize China, USA decided to turn it into its own market.
USgoverment planned to make a profit by selling large quantities of American products to China.
Then, in 1904, Japan and Russia went to war, and the whole world thought that White Russia would win.
However, in reality, Yellow Japan defeated White Russia.
As a result, the white nations of US , Britain, France, and Germany viewed Japan as a great threat.
These yellow, polytheistic pagans became a military and economic threat.
Around this time, the United States formulated a war policy known as the "Plan Orange," which repeatedly simulated on desk war with Japan.
Documents of Plan Orange have been made public by the U.S. government.
To put it bluntly, America felt threatened by the Yellow Japanese and did not like Japan because of their powerful military.
So they plotted to one day make the Yellow Japanese a vassal state, and at the same time, turn China into a market for US country's products.
The Japanese government and military did not want to fight America, Britain, France, or Germany.
This was because they believed that the white powers had such great military and economic power that Japan would surely lose if war broke out.
However, the United States used various means to push Japan into war.
The Japanese government and military absolutely did not want to fight the United States.
This was because there was no chance of winning.
But the United States repeatedly made statements that thoroughly mocked Japan, demanded that Japan abandon all of its colonies and occupied territories, prohibited Japanese companies from withdrawing their deposits from American banks, and banned the export of iron and oil.
This was to encourage Japan to voluntarily launch an attack on the Allied Powers.
Next, I'd like to discuss Japan-Korea relations.
There are several issues between Japan and Korea.
One is the comfort women issue.
The Korean side claims that the Japanese government at the time abducted and robbed young Korean women and used them as sex slaves for the Japanese military.
Moreover, Korea claims that the Japanese government abducted and robbed local women not only in Korea, but also in Indonesia, Borneo, and Malaysia, and forced them into sexual slavery.
And such historical accounts can be found in abundance on the Internet.
In fact, the Japanese military hired poor women with Japanese nationality as prostitutes for high wages in occupied territories.
Japanese soldiers wanted such Japanese women , but they didn't want foreign girls .
Furthermore, if Japanese rape foreign girls would cause local public sentiment to become critical of Japan.
For this reason, the Japanese government prohibited Japanese soludiors from raping women in occupied territories.
so Japnese goverment and military hired Japanese prostitutes and sent them to occupied territories.
Korea also claims that the Japanese government forcibly abducted young men and forced them to work in mines and other places.
The Korean Supreme Court has ordered the Japanese government and Japanese companies to pay compensation and damages to Korean sex slaves and men forced to work.
However, many Koreans immigrated to Japan because they could earn three or four times the salary they could in Korea, no matter what job they did. They moved to Japan, found a job, and worked there. And they earned more than three times the salary.
However, many Koreans immigrated to Japan because they could earn three or four times the salary they could in Korea, no matter what job they did. They moved to Japan, found a job, and worked there. And they earned more than three times the salary.
It was not forced labor.
They were paid a regular wage.
But Koreans have no qualms about telling lies like this.
Because no matter what Japanese people say, they never argue with Koreans.
Then, Koreans found Japanese people guilty of sexual slavery and forced labor in court, and demanded large sums of money from Japanese goverment .
Although Japan thought it was doing nothing wrong, but gave the money to keep Korea quiet.
But then, they started demanding more money, saying that it still didn't have enough.
You can understand the way Koreans think if you looking at Korean history.
Korea has always been a vassal state of China.
If you watch Korean dramas, you'll see that the Korean king is always trying to please the Chinese emperor.
That's why Koreans say that the Chinese are the most classy and great people in the world.
They say that Koreans are the next most classy and great .
And Korean say that Japanese people are most inferior.
That's the Korean view of history.
Next, I'd like to talk a little about Japan-China relations.
First, the Manchurian Incident occurred under the leadership of Ishiwara Kanji. At the time, Japan and the world were in a serious economic depression.
The great powers tried to overcome this situation by establishing many colonies and forming economic blocs.
However, although Japan owned Korea, but Koreans didnt have any school, and there were no factories there.
Therefore, Ishiwara Kanji wanted to occupy Manchuria, the base of the Manchus and Jurchens, to prepare for the threat from the Soviet Union, and, in preparation for the outbreak of a large-scale war, to form an alliance with the people of the Qing Dynasty and use Manchukuo as a breakwater for Japan.
Let me make it clear here that Manchuria is not Han Chinese territory.
Manchuria belongs to the Manchus, the Jurchens, and the Qing Dynasty.
There is no room for the Han Chinese to have a say in it.
Subsequently, Japan had stationed Japanese army in Beijing based on the agreements of the Boxer Rebellion.
This was a legal stationing for the protection of Japanese people and Japanese consuls, in accordance with the agreements of the Boxer Rebellion.
Britain and France were also involved in the Boxer Rebellion.
One night, someone fired a shot at Japanese troops.
The Japanese army assumed that Chiang Kai-shek's Kuomintang forces had fired the shot, and entered into combat with the warlord's Kuomintang forces.
However, subsequent research has shown that in fact the Chinese Communist Party's Eighth Route Army had fired the shot from the direction of the Kuomintang army garrison, making it appear as if the Kuomintang had fired the shot.
The Chinese Communist Party, the Comintern in Moscow, and the International Communist League planned to first pit the Japanese army against Chiang Kai-shek's Nationalist army, and then, once both were weakened, attack them both, turn all of China communismnize , and establish a communist regime in China.
Then came the incident known as the "Tongzhou Incident."
A Japanese town in northern China was attacked by Chinese people, resulting in many casualties.
Women were killed by having bamboo cut at an angle thrust into their vaginas and intestines.
This was a trap set by the Chinese Communist Party.
The Japanese military believed that a prolonged war would increase war costs and make it difficult to maintain order in occupied territories, and so they were planning to invade the north.
This was something the Chinese army did not want.
China wanted the Japanese military to continue its attacks.
This was because they believed that if the Japanese military expanded its battlefields on the Chinese mainland, Japan would need large quantities of weapons and food and would eventually give up.
And the United States openly sent guns, artillery shells, food, airplanes, and medical supplies to Chiang Kai-shek's regime.
This was effectively a war between Japan and the United States.
On paper, it looked like a war between Japan and the Nationalist Party, but in reality, it was a war between Japan and the United States.
Now, the Chinese Communist Party claims that this is a celebration of victory in the War against Japan, but although the Chinese Communist Party engaged in guerrilla sabotage, CCP did not participate in the Sino-Japanese War or the Greater East Asia War.
On the Chinese mainland, the Japanese army had fight against the Kuomintang army and the American Allied forces , and the Chinese Communist Party did not take part in those wars.
That's a complete laughing matter.
The Chinese Communist Party has reported to the world that when the Japanese army occupied Nanjing, the capital of the Kuomintang regime, they massacred between 300,000 and 3 million people.
In Singapore, Malaysia, and Taiwan, the Nanjing Massacre is taught as a holocaust perpetrated by the Japanese.
However, Japanese historians claim that this is completely unfounded.
Japanese military innocence was based on testimonies from Japanese people who actually entered Nanjing at the time, as well as from ordinary civilians in Nanjing at the time, and it was determined that the Japanese military did not kill any civilians.
Such lies are constantly told by the Chinese Communist Party.
By telling these lies, they denigrate Japan and help China strengthen its military power.
This is the historical understanding held by modern Japanese historian.
Therefore, based on this understanding of history, the Japanese government and military fought a fair war of self-defense for the sake of independence and self-existence, and Japan did not create any colonies during the Greater East Asia War.
Although Europeans and Americans occupied Asia and made colonies, but Japanese did not force the people of the occupied territories into hard labor or turn them into sexual slaves.
The Japanese military and provisional government implemented policies for the health and prosperity of the local residents.
And Korea was part of Japan, not a colony.
Hokkaido, Shikoku, Sakhalin, Kyushu, Korea, and Taiwan had the same right as a part of Japan.
This is the position we take.
